Brendan McKay has put the finishing touches on one of the great careers in the history of college baseball. He recently won his third straight John Olerud Award, as the nation’s best two-way player. He also has already been named a first team All-American for the third straight year while racking up national player of the year honors by a couple different publications, and has tacked on the 2017 Golden Spikes Award for the best player in the nation.
The biggest similarity between his pitching and his hitting is his efficiency. He is a marvel to watch throw and swing because there is no wasted movement. His ability to repeat his delivery and maintain great balance throughout his swing is why he has been so consistent throughout his career.
